Prices range from 0.04 EURO to 0.07 EURO per word depending on the size of the translation, the grade of difficulty of the texts (technical contents), the language combination and certification. A larger text can be translated at a lower cost for example. If you allow us a later deadline, we can often reduce the price. Long-term clients who regularly need translations can count on a price reduction.
We charge the following prices:
For English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese, normal text at 0.04 EURO/word.
Dutch, French, German, Italian, Catalan, Japanese, Polish, Russian (in combination with English, both ways) at 0.05 EURO/word
Dutch-French-Dutch, Japanese-Spanish-Japanese, German-Spanish-German, French-Italian-French at 0.05 EURO/word
Chinese, Arabic, Turkish (combination with English, both ways) at 0.06 EURO/word
Prices all depend somewhat on the deadline, total volume, difficulty of the text, use of software (TRADOS, etc.), country (US, Europe), and need for certification.
We normally charge according to the number of words in the source language. If we charged the number of words in the target-language our clients would not know the exact fee before hiring us. Moreover, it would be attractive to write more words in the translation, because it would result in a higher fee.
However, for German the source language tends to have far longer words (due to the fact that the German language strings words). For German we charge according to characters, on the basis of 6 characters = 1 word.
