There are many different styles and types of translations possible.
Some people need a web-site translated and want us to translate rather freely and to ensure that the text is culturally sensitive and appropriate to the target-group of the web-site.
Other texts our clients require us to stay very close to the original text and to leave some of the translation in a language which sketches the atmosphere of the original text very well. For example, in the case of an anthropological report, this is often the preferred mode of translation.
For legal text of course, there is little choice; it simply has to be the exact legal language of the target-language which we deliver.
